Middlebury Aug. 3 1864 Dear Sir, Our Corporation will meet on Tuesday the 9th inst. at 10 oâclock A.M. Some members of the Board desire to have more time for deliberation, than we usually find amid the [—- —] and crowded exercises of Commencement and they propose that we continue our sessions [—-] Thursday. Can you stay until that time? Will you bring Mrs. T with you and accept of such hospitality as we can af= ford? If we can do noth ing else, we will make you very welcome. Mrs. L bids [page break] me say, that she will be very happy to see your lady and yourself, and the gentleman says [underline] amen. [/underline] So you will please to come directly to my house.
